About us

The Club was formed by a group of parents to offer football to kids based in the West Exe area of Exeter. From that first meeting at the Seven Stars public house the Club was formed with six teams entering local leagues in the Exeter area. In 2020 the Club should have celebrated its 20 th anniversary, be sure to keep checking back for updates on our planned celebrations to mark the occasion.

This coming season will see the Club well represented in local leagues with teams represented in 12 age groups. As one of only a handful of clubs in the Exeter area to have attained the Charter Standard Club award West Exe will continue to ensure coaches take the various coaching opportunities available, and promote participation as well as healthy competition within the Club. We have a dedicated committee who give up their time voluntarily on match days and for training sessions in addition to attending meetings and assisting at fund raising and social events for the Club. I would ask that all players and parents give them as much support as possible. It need not be a big time commitment but everything helps and is appreciated. My thanks again go to our numerous sponsors whose support is an integral part in the running of a successful football club.

Please remember that this is a family Club and active participation by parents and supporters is as important as the efforts of players and committee members; please play your part in ensuring the future success of the Club both on and off the field. I would just like to emphasise that as a Charter Standard Club we expect high standards of behaviour and request both players and supporters conduct themselves in an appropriate manner when representing the Club. I would like thank you for your support and wish managers, players and supporters another enjoyable and successful season.
