West Exe Youth Football Club is dedicated to providing a secure and inclusive environment for players of all skill levels. Our primary objective is to cultivate a community spirit and instill fundamental values in our players. In order to ensure that all players derive enjoyment and actively participate in football, we are committed to the following:

To safeguard players during training and matches, we will:

Uphold the Respect Code across all stakeholders, encompassing parents, spectators, players, coaches, and officials Adhere rigidly to child protection legislation and enforce the club's child protection policy Ensure that all teams are led by coaches equipped with at least FA 1st 4 Sport Level 1 qualifications and possessing current First Aid training and CRB checks Maintain high standards for equipment and facilities Prohibit exclusion of any child based on gender, culture, language, racial origin, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation Enforce the club’s anti-bullying policy

To facilitate learning and development, we will:

Prioritize player development over a win-at-all-costs culture Provide continuous support for coach education and development Cultivate a positive, warm, and supportive environment among all coaches Ensure that players and parents comprehend and respect coaching decisions Assist players in understanding their present stage and offer guidance on progression Encourage involvement in refereeing and coaching qualifications, running the line, participating in the committee, or undertaking key roles and responsibilities Extend exceptional players opportunities beyond the club Offer teams opportunities to partake in tournaments and organize team events Celebrate the achievements and progress of all players at the conclusion of the season

To promote community sport with community values, we will:

Value and welcome parents while encouraging their active participation in supporting our ethos Place the Respect Code at the heart of every club endeavor, whether it be in training, on match days, or in any other capacity such as player, spectator, coach, or parent Publicize, recognize, and represent the club's interests and achievements at all levels Foster and develop partnerships with key community groups, such as schools, local and city councils, and other sporting clubs, in an effort to collaborate in the service of youth sport Welcome and respond to feedback and input from all those associated with the club, thereby upholding full accountability to our members
